Firefighters rescued a little egret tangled mid-air in a fishing line in southwest China.

Video filmed in the city of Zunyi in Guizhou Province on September 6 shows a fireman named Xu Shijun tied by safety ropes being lifted up by a crane towards the stranded bird.

Xu then threw a rope to hook the fishing tread tangled around the little egret and pulled it back to the shore.

After the little egret was rescued, firemen then cut the threads on its body before sending it to a local zoo for further treatment.

A zoo employee said the bird's wings were injured and it was frightened. They will return it back to nature after it recovers.

9月6日9时左右，遵义市播州区市民雷先生，驾车经过播州区南白街道办事处安南桥时，远远看到河中央电缆线上挂了个白色的东西。

“开始以为是塑料袋，但走近一看，竟是只漂亮的白色鸟儿，像是白鹭。鸟儿的翅膀被线缆上的鱼线挂住了，困在六七米高的空中。”雷先生说，这只可怜的鸟儿让他动了恻隐之心，他想上前救援，但因处在河中央，自己没有办法施救。

于是，雷先生拨打了播州区消防救援大队电话。接警后，播州区遵南大道消防救援站立即出动前往救援。

消防人员说，他们在桥上看到，这只被困的鸟儿吊在空中，不时拍打着另一只翅膀挣扎，却徒劳无功，着实让人心疼。

为救下鸟儿，消防员徐石军在绑好绳索后，用消防车吊臂将身体悬于半空，在其他消防员配合下，吊臂逐渐伸长，伸向河心。徐石军慢慢接近被困的鸟儿，抛出手中绳索试图将鸟儿连同挂住它的鱼线一起拉回来。拉的过程中，因担心绳索勒伤鸟儿，徐石军想到另一种救援办法。
随后，悬在空中的徐石军，接过队员递过来的长挂钩，将鱼线连同鸟儿一起拉回自己身边，然后接住鸟儿，割断鱼线回到岸上。

营救成功后，消防员还暖心将鸟儿身上缠绕的各类丝线剪断。

当天，消防员将鸟儿送往遵义动物园做进一步治疗。据动物园工作人员介绍，被困的鸟儿是一只白鹭，属国家二级保护动物。因倒挂的时间较长，翅膀受伤，加之受到惊吓，动物园将饲养待其恢复正常再放归自然。（视频由贵州台提供）
