GlobalMedic in Toronto Supports Afghan Refugees and Vulnerable Canadians

The COVID-19 pandemic persists and families in Canada are suffering. Many families are struggling with financial insecurities and are relying on food banks and social services because they cannot afford the everyday essentials like soap, shampoo and toothbrushes. While Canadians are coping with the effects of the pandemic, we are also opening our doors to thousands of refugees fleeing Afghanistan who are arriving in Canada with nothing.

GlobalMedic and Procter & Gamble have a longstanding relationship, working together to donate personal hygiene kits to Canadians in need through disaster relief efforts, shelters, and other organizations supporting individuals facing financial barriers.

This Saturday, GlobalMedic volunteers are packing 1,600 hygiene kits for vulnerable Canadians and Afghan refugees. Each kit will include essential items such as Oral-B Toothbrushes, Pantene shampoo & conditioner and Always menstrual hygiene products donated by Procter & Gamble. These high quality products provide recipients with supplies to keep themselves healthy and confident and the warmth of knowing that they are cared for.

On Saturday, September 11, 2021 GlobalMedic volunteers will be packing Procter & Gamble hygiene kits at GlobalMedic's headquarters in Etobicoke. Members of the media are invited to attend to capture footage of the volunteers packing hygiene kits. Rahul Singh will be available to do interviews about the Afghanistan situation and the number of ways that GlobalMedic is helping.
