Around 2,000 people have fled their homes after wildfires broke out in the southern Spanish region of Andalusia.

This footage shows the scorched hillsides above the popular resort town of Estepona on the Costa del Sol today (September 13).

One emergency worker has been killed in the blaze, which began on Wednesday.

The Estepona fire wich broke out on Wednesday has appeared to be slowing down. But suddenly in the early hours of sunday a spark caused the fire to jump behind the firefighters creating a new front in a new valley. Around 2,000 people have left their homes after wildfires broke out in the southern Spanish region of Andalusia.

The video shows a morning view of Estepona - a municipality in Spain, which is part of the Andalusia community - black, charred earth and smoke on the horizon.
