A heart-wrenching incident came forward in which people abused an animal and inflicted pain on it in northeastern India's Assam on September 3. The incident took place near the Rangapara-Balipara railway track crossing.

Visuals feature the giant jumbo attempting to cross the railway track in broad daylight while a couple of kids chase after it and begin to pelt stones at it for no good reason. They continue to assault the animal without even flinching for a bit as they find it amusing while the mammal strolls and drifts away, unbothered by their presence.

Cases of animal cruelty have been increasing day by day in this country, and yet no one is coming forward to help these naive creatures. It is wicked to torment any being for entertainment or other purposes. Animal abuse is a serious matter because inflicting pain or harming them is punishable by imprisonment.
