This footage was filmed and produced 12 September 2021.

Protesters marched Sunday (September 12) along Sao Paulo's Avenida Paulista demanding the removal from the office of President Jair Bolsonaro, whom they perceive to be a threat to the rule of law.

The video shows protesters gathering organized by the MBL, protesters distributing banners to participants, shouting "FORA BOLSONARO". Deputies, movement activists and the governor of São Paulo João Doria were present and made speeches against the president.

Translation:
(João Doria, the Governor of the State of São Paulo)
"You who are here today are defending democracy, freedom in our country! Congratulations to each one of you, each one here, each one who had the courage to go to Avenida Paulista today, to defend your country, your nation, your homeland, the truth of this country - you are courageous defenders of Brazilian democracy! A round of applause to you! I also want to tell you that you are there at your house, watching us now - several television stations are broadcasting live here, this MBL movement here on Avenida Paulista: if you didn't have the opportunity to come, no problem, we we understand. But do as they are here, defend your country, defend democracy, defend the constitution, defend the powers!"
(Protesters)
"Hey, Bolsonaro: take it up your ass!"
(João Doria)
"Guys, this is just the beginning. Every beginning has its difficulty, every beginning establishes a trajectory. I want to remind you that I was in a movement similar to this one, in fact, I helped to organize it and I'm proud of it: the Diretas Já movement, on January 25, 1984, there in Praça da Sé in front of the Sé Cathedral. We started a movement that helped change Brazil, and put the country back on the path of democracy, but it was like that - step by step, person to person, hug to hug - defending what is most important in your nation: your freedom.
And in 1984 we didn't have social networks, we didn't have the internet, but we had hearts, folks. And that's what will move us: heart, energy, passion for Brazil, desire to change our country, desire to transform Brazil! That's it, no fear of the truth, no fear of the truth as you put it here, on that sign of yours. Those who are afraid of the truth do not respect democracy, my people. And you who are here and those who are in your house watching now, you respect democracy.
Set an example to the younger ones, who may not have lived the military dictatorship and exile as I did, but also guide..."
(Protesters)
"Democracy, democracy..."
(João Doria)
"Esee is the symbol, this is the anthem. Come on, everyone!"
(João Doria and protesters sing together)
"Democracy, Democracy..."
(João Doria)
"That's my people. This is the full defense and the defense, too, of the vaccine, folks. It is the vaccine that saves, and it was São Paulo that went to get the vaccine. Instead of buying Chloroquine, São Paulo bought vaccine to save Brazil - it wasn't just to save those who live in São Paulo, it was to save Brazil - and today more than ninety-six million Brazilians, like me, have the vaccine of Butantã in the arm.
Long live the vaccine, folks! Vaccine is life, vaccine is resistance and what a country needs is vaccine in the arm and food on the plate, folks, for the poorest people, for those vulnerable, who cannot buy even a ticket..."

Translation:
(João Doria, the Governor of the State of São Paulo)
"...Incapable, innocuous and, above all, denial. We have to embrace this population. Look at the poorest, look at the most vulnerable. It is unreasonable for a country to have a gas canister at one hundred and thirty reais. What Brazil does, what can change is the exercise of democracy. Whether it's Bolsonaro's impeachment or the direct vote for the electronic ballot box in October two thousand and twenty-two, you are the ones who change Brazil, you are the ones who are going to change Brazil. You have already changed Brazil and let's change again, let's change again, let's change again...
That's it my people. Strength, energy and protection for you. May God bless each one of you, may God protect your path, may you be on the right side. You are on the right path, which is the path of democracy. Enlightened by God. God does light up the path of the just, the path of good people. You are doing good here today.
And now, folks, to close here, you are the ones who are going to establish which song all of us here are going to sing, which is Paulista's cry for Brazil. With you, what is the cry? What is the scream?..."
(Protesters)
"Out Bolsonaro, Out Bolsonaro..."
(Protester with microphone)
"Ole ole, ole ole! let's take Bolsonaro out of power;
Ole ole, ole ole! let's take Bolsonaro out of power;
Bolsonarist, militia, the robbery of your myth is at an end;
His conduct is immoral / Old principles of the National CF"
