Three people got stuck on an island between rising water currents in the Sindh and Gunjari rivers in central India's Madhya Pradesh on September 10. The incident took near Bhadota village that falls under the Kolaras police station in Shivpuri.

Visuals feature the three people, including women stranded at different places. A man is rescued and brought back safely to the mainland, however, two of them refuse to come back to the mainland. They sit and guard their luggage, all the while reasoning that they are adept to such circumstances.

They had left two days earlier to set up a shop in a village fair, however, decided to rest at an island for the night. But when they woke up, the water level had risen on both the rivers, making it difficult for them to cross over.

As soon as the local police officials were intimidated, they along with the SDERF (State Disaster Emergency Response Force) rescue team rushed to the spot. However, only one youth agreed to come back to the mainland, whereas a lady, as well as a man, stayed back to guard their luggage.

Nonetheless, the officials have assured their safety and asserted that food has been sent by the rescue team who are present there to safeguard them.
