Due to negligent behavior by humans, several got threatened by an elephant in northeastern India's Assam on August 25. The incident took place at Dhendai Tea Estate near Rangapara town in Sonitpur district.

Visuals feature the elephant emerging from the field and chasing after the onlookers in broad daylight out of fury. After a while, it stops running and glances at the locals while they scatter in the field to avoid any tragedy. Later, panic ensues among everyone while the jumbo drifts away into its surroundings.

The elephants in the region are known for relocating across the forest covers in search of food. They often stray onto the roads and chase the passer-by, making the locals familiar with such incidents.
