The survival of the fittest theory came to life when a fierce battle sparked out between two elephants in Sri Lanka's North Central province on September 13. The incident took place in the Kalawewa National Park.

Visuals feature a herd of elephants grazing in the forest cover in broad daylight while the onlookers behold the occurrence. After a while, two jumbos, including a tusker, engage in a furious brawl and begin to lock their trunks while attacking and pushing each other. Within moments, they begin to drift away and soon begin to walk in different directions.

The famous elephant, identified as Esala 2, and another wild elephant engaged in a fierce fight while some of the visitors witnessed the incident, despite the travel restrictions. Moreover, in the animal kingdom, the battle over territory, food, or a mate can often turn out to be brutal and violent. However, elephants are thoroughly built to withstand such incredible brawls and collisions in the forest.
