A wild boar was shot dead by police after rampaging around schools in eastern China.

Video filmed in the city of Hefei in Anhui Province on September 13 shows a wild boar charging into the barriers in the middle of a road and getting its head stuck in between the bars.

After the wild boar took its head out of the barrier, it ran around the area with many schools nearby.

Since the schools were about to open, police officers drove the boar into the reed grasses in Jindou Park and then shot it dead.

9 月 13 日 6 时许，合肥市滨湖新区广西路与云谷路路口附近，发现一头野猪。野猪在撞到护栏后头部被卡，随后自己挣脱在街头乱窜。事发地点有多所学校，如果不及时控制野猪，情形十分危险。
警情发生后，合肥市公安局 110 迅速调度特警，交警等警力赶到现场处置。在民警努力下，野猪被赶到金斗公园芦苇丛中。警方出动无人机搜索，最终锁定了野猪位置。为了防止野猪伤人，特警队员冒着危险靠近，顺利将野猪击毙。

据合肥市公安局 110 指挥调度中心值班长黄杰介绍，当时有多名市民拨打了报警电话，指挥中心立即调阅了现场监控，发现野猪在街头乱窜，周边有小学，幼儿园即将迎来开学时间，如果不及是控制，恐有野猪伤人可能。为了保护市民安全，多种警力被调度赶到现场，其中特警携带了枪械，消防部门出动了云梯。在 110 调度处置下，野猪很快被赶到无人的金斗公园芦苇丛中。现场警员一度登上消防云梯，以便占领制高点发现处置野猪。不料野猪迟迟没有现身，最终出动无人机才锁定位置。为确保万无一失，野猪最终被击毙。

目前，被击毙的野猪已经作无害化处理。警方提醒，市民偶遇野猪应及时避让，保护好自己，然后报警求助。（视频由安徽台提供）
