A skater from San Diego in California face-planted badly recently while bombing a hill.

Footage captured on August 8 shows Dani Torres whizzing down the steep section of sidewalk before hitting some cracks and falling face-first.

"I was bombing the sidewalk and having fun, so I decided to have the moment caught on camera. I asked my friend to film me, and then I died... yep, that's how it went down," said Torres.

"I really thought I was gonna make it over the cracks," she added.

Footage filmed by Hugo Lagunas shows Dani riding down a hill on her skateboard and falling off it before calling it a day.

She added: "I really thought I was gonna make it over the cracks."
