Medieval church surrounded by industrial estate to be restored in Kent, UK

An obscure and tiny medieval church - which is now rather oddly surrounded by an industrial estate as shown in this footage from September 15 - is to be restored thanks to lottery funding and other grants.

Work has started this week on restoring Murston Old Church, which was abandoned when the original centre of the village of Murston had to move in the past and a new church built.

Murston All Saints Trust has created the Murston Heart project which will see the church building restored & artists units installed adjacent to the old building along with a community cafe.

Murston was once a centre for brick making utilising nearby Milton Creek.
