Urban management officer detained after throwing elderly Chinese woman onto ground
An urban management officer was detained and fined after throwing an elderly woman onto the ground in eastern China.
A CCTV video filmed in the city of Nantong in Jiangsu Province on September 15 shows an officer grabbing a scale from an elderly vendor when she was about to leave with her stuff.
She then followed the officers to their vehicle and tried to stop them from leaving.
An officer named Wu then took the scale out of the trunk, broke it and threw it away before dragging the elderly woman away from his vehicle and throwing her onto the ground.
According to reports, the 72-year-old woman named Zhang was sent to hospital. She has transferred from the intensive care ward to the general ward for observation.
The officer named Wu was fined and detained for 15 days.
