Fire breaks out on train engine in central India

A spine-chilling incident came to the fore, which ensued panic among everyone in the train in central India's Madhya Pradesh on September 16. The incident took place at the Ghoradongri railway station near Betul.

Visuals feature plumes of black smoke emanating from the locomotive begin to spread in the region. However, the officials take care of the situation and take the engine apart while a huge crowd gathers in the vicinity to behold the occurrence.

The sudden fire broke out in the engine of Dakshin Express, going from Hyderabad to Hazrat Nizamuddin. However, the vigilant driver of the train stopped the train by applying an emergency brake and doused the fire with the help of a fire extinguisher. After controlling the blaze, the engine was brought to Ghoradongri station at a slow speed and with the help of another engine called from Dharakhoh railway station, the locomotive was sent towards Itarsi for about an hour.

When the train reached Ghoradongri via Dharakhoh, a thick cloud of smoke was seen rising from the lower part of the engine. The train was stopped by applying the emergency brake near the railway gate of Ghoradongri. However, the situation was brought under control while panic ensued among the travelers.
