This albino, orphaned elephant calf loves nothing more than being given a dust bath by her carers in South Africa.

Khanyisa, one of the rescued elephants at Hoedspruit Elephant Rehabilitation and Development, is seen rolling around in the dirt as her carer covers her in dust.

The albino animal was rescued from a poacher's snare and brought to the rehabilitation centre.

Khanyisa is an orphaned albino elephant rescued in January 2020 from a poacher’s snare. She came to Hoedspruit Elephant Rehabilitation and Development (HERD) and went through three months of rehabilitation for the horrific wounds caused by the snare.

Her dedicated carers have been integral in her rehabilitation process, often assisting in activities that an elephant would, such as this sand bath.
