Tender moments in the bush between orphaned albino elephant, Khanyisa, and her carer, Willinton
Khanyisa is an orphaned albino elephant rescued in January 2020 from a poacher’s snare. She came to Hoedspruit Elephant Rehabilitation and Development (HERD) and went through three months of rehabilitation for the horrific wounds caused by the snare.
Khanyisa has come so far since then and will soon be celebrating her second birthday! Much of her success can be attributed to the hard work of her carers. Watch as she shares a tender moment in the bush with carer Willinton.
