Trixey, a Maltese and Yorkshire terrier mix, was born with three legs and that hasn't stopped him from living his best life.

From running across beaches in Ireland to riding children's swings, the 4-year-old pooch doesn't let his disability get the better of him.

Trixey's owner Barry Ryan, from Limerick, described his dog as "the three-legged wonder of the world" due to the pooch's bubbly personality.

Ryan told Newsflare: "Trixey was one of four dogs, he was the runt of the litter, he has a sister, who we kept.

"He loves being out and about and loves an adventure. My two kids love him.

"Having only three legs, he does get tired, he expends a lot of energy. But he doesn’t miss having another leg because he never had it. When he pees he pees down his own leg. He can’t lift his one back leg. He’s just a regular dog other than that."

He’s a three legged dog, he was born like that. He loves being out and about and loves an adventure. My two kids, they love him.
