UK pensioner takes on extreme DIY project to convert mobility scooter into helicopter for charity
Pensioner and retired electrician Tim Bell of Minster on Sea in Kent has spent many hours converting his mobility scooter into a helicopter to raise funds for the Kent Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance charity.
This detailed footage shows many of the project's impressive features including variable speed rotors, remote control lighting displays, a custom-made onboard sound system, moving message display and an onboard soap bubble machine.
Tim explains how some of the technical features work behind the scenes of this elaborate DIY creation that has brought a smile to many people while also raising much-needed funds for the regional air ambulance.
