Police disperse after breaking up a protest in Melbourne, Australia
This footage was filmed and produced 22 September 2021.
September 22 marked the third day of protests by construction workers against mandatory vaccinations in the Australian city of Melbourne, with hundreds of demonstrators camped outside the Melbourne Memorial Temple. Earlier that day, they walked through the city center chanting "every day, every day, every day."According to one of the demonstrators in another video, they understand that this is a sacred place of memory and did not want to go to the temple - they were driven there by the police, using tear gas and other means to disperse the demonstrations. Those who did not have time to escape and could not present a valid reason for being on the street were arrested by the police, ABC reported.
The video shows a view of the Memorial Monument after the dispersal of the protest. And also to the pedestrian crossroads nearby. Several police cars are seen leaving, the sound of a siren is heard.
