Drone footage captured the moment a pod of dolphins breached in close proximity to a surfer riding a wave.

Visuals from June 25 in the Maldives also show the pod gliding underneath the wave as it makes its way to shore.

"I know the surfers," explained filmer Oren to Newsflare. "But this video was 'accidentally' taken. While filming the surfers, suddenly a group of dolphins has appeared out of nowhere and joined the surfers, surfing the waves themselves. That was a stunning moment!"
