A farmer from Baripada, Odisha, has transformed a 1920s American Ford car into a fully solar-powered vehicle.

Sushil Kumar Agarwal has been dreaming of building his own car since he was a child.

During the country's lockdown, Agarwal spent six months modifying the old model into an eco-friendly vehicle.

He installed solar panels on his house in order to charge his vehicle. He claims the car's battery can last up to 250 kilometres.

In the second wave covid19 lockdown Sushil determined to assemble one heritage car of the model of 1920 American ford. He was assembled the car with the help of two friends. After six months he was successfully driven the car in his area. Now it is a extraordinary to all.

Sushil has installed solar panels in his house rooftop & he charge his Car in the Garage from the energy generated from the Solar panel.

Sushil said once you charged the battery full this heritage car runs for 200 to 250 km. No pollution certificate need for this car. More than 6 persons can move through the car at a time. I want to appeal to our government to give permission to build this car for general people.
