Protesters arrested as riot police swoop on Melbourne park in Northcote VIC, Australia
This footage was filmed and produced 24 September 2021.
Dozens of protesters gathered about 2pm, walking aimlessly around the car park at Northcote Plaza and at times on the road, stopping traffic. The protesters shouted “every day,” in reference to the daily action throughout Melbourne this week, and occasionally hurled abuse at passersby. Hundreds of police swarmed the scene, forcing protesters to disperse, with at least one person arrested after a large scuffle outside the plaza entrance.
The video shows a group of policemen walking towards a group of protesters, as well as footage of the guy walking accompanied by two policemen.
