Footage of a long queue of cars at a Sainsbury’s petrol station in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, this lunchtime (September 24) following a UK government announcement not to panic buy fuel. The queue snaked around the supermarket car park and motorists were forced to wait for half an hour for petrol.
A shortage of HGV drivers has led to a handful of BP garages being forced to close. Despite being urged not to panic buy by the UK government, petrol stations around the country were busy on Friday lunchtime.
