Today in Berlin Tens of thousands of environmental activists protested in front of parliament. In two days, national elections are planned in Germany, and in this regard, activists are demanding more decisive action from politicians to curb climate change. The Reichstag protest in Berlin was part of a series of rallies around the world, from Japan and Italy to India and the UK, amid dire warnings that the planet is facing dangerous temperature increases unless greenhouse gas emissions are drastically curtailed in the coming years.
