Out on a prowl, a leopard fell into a well and got stuck in southern India's Karnataka on September 24. The incident took place in the Mala village, located in the Karkal region of the Udupi district.

Visuals feature the leopard struggling to stay afloat inside the well. The big cat grasps at straws to avoid drowning and later, much to it's relief, rescuers arrive at the spot. They lower a rope into the well, following which the leopard grabs it in its jaws and manages to stay above the water's surface.

Out looking for food, the leopard fell into a barrierless farm well. Following this, the farm owner alerted the forest department, who arrived at the spot with the local police. Furthermore, the officials carried out a rescue operation and saved the leopard.
