This is the moment a monitor lizard was caught clinging onto a family’s wall.

The 3ft-long reptile appeared to have been looking for a way inside the house when it was spotted in Uthai Thani province, Thailand on September 29.

A family member called the rescuers for help as the lizard appeared aggressive and insistent on entering the property to escape.

Footage shows the rescue volunteers using a pole with a noose to catch the reptile by the neck while it clung near the door.

A team member from the Phrachanok City Rescue said: ‘It’s better to let experts handle these creatures because they could bite if threatened. This one was also big.’

The animal was eventually caught using the pole and taken by rescuers with them for release.
