Unlike previous seasons, this year's olive season is experiencing a significant decline in production of all kinds due to climate variability.

Farmers in Gaza complain about this year's poor production of olive trees, says Wasim Hamad, an olive plantation owner. The amount of oil produced this year is very small because there are few olive fruits, and no one knows the price and it's about a shortage of olive oil and olive fruits. Last year there was self-sufficiency in the Gaza Strip of oil and olive crops.
