International artist Manas Kumar Sahoo has sculpted a sand artwork of Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion of "Gandhi Jayanti", a national holiday remembering the birthday of who is considered to be "Father of India".

It took the artist seven hours to create this 15 ft sand sculpture.15 tons of sand were used.

The message "Happy Gandhi Jayanti" and "Peace heralds prosperity" appears on the sand sculpture.

The video was filmed on Puri Beach in the state of Odisha, India, on October 2.

International Sand Artist Manas Kumar Sahoo has sculpted a statue of Gandhiji on Puri Beach (Orissa) on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.

Manas Sahoo said It took 7 hours to build this sand architecture. It is 15 feet wide and 15 tons of sand has been used. The sand art was created to pay homage to The Father of Our Nation ,Mahatma Gandhi, also known as our Beloved Bapu who always believed that "Peace heralds Prosperity". The Sand Sculpture has the message of "Happy Gandhi Jayanti" engraved in it.
