South African police stopped an anti-vaccine protest at the Sea Point Promenade in Cape Town.

The protesters were issued with a warning to disperse for not wearing masks in a public place. South African COVID-19 regulations make it mandatory for masks to be worn in public.

Vaccination in South Africa is not mandatory, however, some people are not supportive of vaccine passports.

A protester who appears in the clip says: "It's because of freedom of speech and my freedom to say no to things that are not right. It's my body, I have a choice".

The crowd peacefully dispersed a few minutes after the police issued a final warning.

The protesters vowed to continue their opposition to the vaccine and the implementation of vaccine passports.

The clip was filmed today (October 2).
