This is the heartbreaking moment a pet dog tried to wake up his dead friend in the Philippines.

Pet owner Molina Salvana showed her dog named Khime crying over the lifeless body of his one-year-old doggy friend, Bullet, in their house in Manila.

The desperate pooch pawed at Bullet to try and wake him up to no avail.

Molina said the puppy may have died from a heat stroke due to the scorching weather in the tropical country.

She said: ‘It’s so sad. We didn’t expect this to happen to Bullet since he was healthy and well taken care of.'

‘He was even playing with one of our dogs when he suddenly couldn’t move half of his body. Just a few minutes later, he lost his life.’
