Cars queue for fuel amid petrol shortage in London
Cars queued up for fuel in London on Saturday as a petrol shortage continues to plague the UK.

Thousands of gas stations in the UK now face an acute fuel shortage due to the lack of truckers who left due to the changes in visa rules. Meanwhile, Covid-19 rules have stifled the training of new drivers and the issuance of licenses.
The UK military has deployed around 100 tanker drivers on Monday to help ease the fuel crisis. The UK government said it will also issue temporary work visas for some 5,000 foreign truck drivers.
Finance Minister Rishi Sunak said: ‘The situation has been improving now for I think over a week every day…. It is getting better and as demand settles back to more normal levels, the strong expectation is things will resolve themselves.’
