Passenger slips while boarding train, gets rescued in eastern India
A passenger almost slid under the train while boarding it in eastern India's West Bengal on October 4. The incident took place at the Howrah Railway Station.
CCTV footage features a train entering the busy platform. Within moments, some passengers begin hopping down and running on the station. One such man loses his grip while boarding the locomotive, following which he falls on the platform and gets dragged along the station. Later, a vigilant official spots him and pulls him to safety.
In the life-saving act, constable Om Prakash belonging to the Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF), rescued the passenger just in time and averted a major tragedy.
