Squid Game fans in Paris recreate scene from Netflix show
Squid Game fans recreated a scene from the Netflix hit drama on the streets of Paris on October 3.
The fans were filmed mimicking a scene in which ‘Train to Busan’ star Gong Yoo made a cameo and lured people to enter the game by trying to flip a folder piece of paper.
Locals flocked to a promotional Squid Game-themed restaurant in the 2nd arrondissement in Paris last weekend, with fans waiting for hours in line to get in.
The South Korean Netflix drama Squid Game tells the story of hundreds of participants struggling with debt who compete in a series of children’s games to win the final 45.6 billion won (38.7 million USD) prize.
The series was released on September 17 and received an overwhelming response from viewers worldwide but it has also been criticised for showing violence and gore.
