An adorable little girl in the Philippines dressed up as a character from the popular Netflix drama Squid Game.

The photogenic five-year-old named Jilian was filmed posing for the camera while cosplaying as Player 067 in Laguna province on October 4.

Her uncle, Prince CJ Sibayan Carpio, took pictures of her along with her friends, who are all following the popular drama.

He said: ‘Since Squid Game is trending, I thought about making a costume like the ones in the show and use that for the concept of our photoshoot. I had our niece be our model.’

He added that kids passing by were curious about the shoot so he let them join in.

He added: ‘I didn’t expect the outcome to be so good.’

Player 067 is played by Korean model and actress Jung Ho Yeon, who saw her popularity explode following the release of the show – rising from 400k Instagram followers to almost 15 million.

The South Korean Netflix drama Squid Game tells the story of hundreds of participants struggling with debt who compete in a series of children’s games to win the final 45.6 billion won (38.7 million USD) prize.

The series was released on September 17 and received an overwhelming response from viewers worldwide but it has also been criticised for showing violence and gore.
