Hundreds of Asylum Seekers Injected with Covid-19 Vaccine in Jakarta, Indonesia

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) targets to vaccinate seven thousand asylum seekers in the capital city. Covid-19 vaccination for asylum seekers has started in early September 2021. As many as 600 asylum seekers from 13 countries received the Covid-19 vaccine in the vaccination program held at the Bulungan Sports Center, South Jakarta on October 7th. The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government also requested assistance from UNHCR to provide data on refugees in Jakarta to be given vaccines.
