.
The stadium which is rumoured to have cost as much as twenty-two million rands caused outrage when pictures of the "stadium" started circulating. It simply showed a tidy filed with a single spectator stand made of steel scaffolding.

The stadium is known as the Lesseyton Sports Facility and is situated in Komani in the Eastern Cape and falls within the Enoch Mgijima Municipality. The stadium was unveiled as South Africa heads for the 2021 local government elections. The Eastern Cape is under the control of the African National Congress.
