Dame Cressida Dick announced this evening (October 8) that Baroness Louise Casey of Blackstock will lead an independent review into the Metropolitan Police's culture and standards following the tragic death of Sarah Everard who was killed by Wayne Couzens, a serving Metropolitan police officer in a diplomatic protection role.

The review seeks to restore the publics' trust in the police force by examining vetting and recruitment procedures.
