Poverty in Brazil tripled. The number of poor people jumped from 9.5 million in August 2020 to more than 27 million in February 2021. To make matters worse, high food prices have made life difficult for those who most need resources.

This video shows men collecting leftover fruits and vegetables at the end of a street market in São Paulo. One of them is collecting the leftovers to feed their animals, the other two- to support their family and friends.
