A car on the motorway dramatically slows down and puts his hazard lights on to indicate other cars that there's a problem in the road. The issue is that by dramatically slowing down the driver themselves is then also causing a hazard, what likely would've been better in this scenario is if the driver just flashed people to let them know, and drove around it in advance.
