A herd of deers was rescued as they had fallen into an abandoned well in South India on Sunday (October 10).

Villagers believe the herd of deer fell the night before in search of water and food.

Villagers heard cries from unknown animals the following morning. They searched the nearest well when they found the herd.

They immediately called the fire and rescue team to airlift the deers.

After four hours of struggle, the deer were rescued and given to the forest department.

The herd was later freed into the woods.

A herd of deers entered into a village that was nearby the hills in search of water and food.

As it was night the deers in the dark accidently fell into an abandoned well. It was all crying throught the night for help but none turned to rescue.

The next morning villagers heard some cries of unknown animals. So they went to the nearby well and to their suprise they saw a herd of spoted deers inside the well.

They immediately called the fire and the rescue team. They rushed to the spot and airlifted the deers.

After four hours of struggle all the deers were brought up and handed over to the forest department staffs.

They took them in a vehicle and said these will be left in the nearby deep woods.
