A cute stumble and lots of excitement for orphaned albino elephant Khanyisa at HERD
January 2020 from a poacher’s snare. She came to Hoedspruit Elephant Rehabilitation and Development (HERD) and went through three months of rehabilitation for the horrific wounds caused by the snare. During her early days at HERD, Khanyisa spent much of her time exploring and learning with her carer friends and companion sheep, Lammie. In this video, she can be seen running and playing after a trip to the dam with HERD founder, Adine Roode.
