According to Prayag Mahatma, Lalita and Kalyani are two unlikely names of Goddess Mahashakti. It is said that the idol within this temple is 1500 years old and is devoted to Kalyani Devi and Lalita Devi. One of the 51 sacred shaktipeeths, this temple, holds utmost fondness among worshippers. People visit this temple in drones during Chaitra Navratri and Ashwin Navratri. These two festivals are famous in this temple and celebrated with grandeur in the month of March and October respectively.
