J’Amore was in a car accident June 1, 2021 while on the way to pick his daughter up from LAX. Even though he was injured, his vehicle was still drivable, so he proceeded with his hour and a half drive from San Diego. Along the way, he noticed he was growing tired so he stopped at the nearest exit. With no gas station in sight, J’Amore pulled over on the side of the road. That’s when he noticed two pick-up trucks slowly pulling behind him. It was then when he noticed the confederate flag and the noose that was tied to the back of their truck. They began to approach his vehicle shouting racist slurs and threatening him. J’Amore then started his engine and began to drive off as one truck to the side of him and the other one pulled in front of him. He then drove on to oncoming traffic and was able to escape.
