World Underwater Federation (CMAS) 5th Freediving Outdoor World Championship hosted by Turkish Underwater Sports Federation (TSSF) continues. In yesterday's races, Alexey Molchanov in men and Nataliia Zharkova in women became world champions. 4 world records were broken in men's masters category.

World champions and winners of the rope supported fixed weight (FIM) discipline, which was held yesterday at the CMAS 5th Free Diving Outdoor World Championship held between 5-9 October in the Inceboğaz Municipality Public Beach in Antalya's Kaş district, were given their medals with a ceremony. The national records of 4 different countries were also broken. 4 world records were broken in the men's masters category. The medal ceremony held yesterday at Kaş Cumhuriyet Square was attended by TSSF President Prof. Dr. Şahin Özen, CMAS President Anna Arzhanova, Kaş Youth and Sports District Manager Volkan Sarıtaş, Çanakkale Wars Gallipoli Historical Site Head İsmail Kaşdemir, CMAS Board Member Bozana Ostojic and CMAS Freediving Director Apostolos Bellos attended.

FIRST GOLD MEDAL FROM NATALIIA ZHARKOVA, SECOND GOLD MEDAL FROM ALEXEY MOLCHANOV

Nataliia Zharkova from Ukraine broke the national record of her country while she was on the World Championship podium with 91 meters. Fatima Korok from Hungary won the silver medal with her 88-meter dive, while also holding the new national record of her home country. Alena Konecna of Czech Republic took the bronze medal podium with 86 meters and broke her own country's national record. Russian Alexey Molchanov has won the gold medal for the second time in a row at the world championship. Molchanov took the World Championship podium with rope supported fixed weight men's 121 meters. Petar Klavor from Croatia took the silver medal in the rope supported fixed weight with a dive of 119 meters. With this rating, Klavor also became the owner of his country's national record. Walid Boudhiaf of Tunisia took the bronze medal podium with 113 meters.

OVER 70 YEARS OLD REAKS WORLD RECORD DIVING TO 78 METERS

Jesper Stechmann from Denmark took the world championship podium in the master’s category with the world record he broke by diving successfully to 90 meters. Petr Vala from Czechia broke the world record with a dive of 78 meters and took the silver medal. Sauveur Lococo from France became the owner of the third world record with 70 meters and the bronze medal. A new world record has been set for men over the age of 70 in the rope-assisted fixed weight discipline. Japec Jakopin from Slovenia broke the world record with his successful dive of 78 meters and took the gold medal podium.
