Giant elephant chases after group of locals in northeastern India
Due to negligent behavior by humans, several had to pay a high price for it in northeastern India's Assam on October 12. The incident took place in Fallangani in the Golaghat district.
Visuals feature a herd of elephants attempting to cross the road after appearing out of the greenery, following which the panic-stricken locals gathering on either side begin to scare them away, causing a hue and cry. They begin to scream and surround them to ensue fear among them while the jumbos hurriedly attempt to cross the path as the humans begin to act like maniacs. Due to these instances, one elephant in the herd begins to chase after the locals on the other side while they run helter-skelter for safety.
Elephants in the area often stray from their natural habitat looking for food, making locals familiar with such incidents. Unfortunately, in this case, they forgot to maintain a safe distance and disrupted their peace, causing a hazardous situation, due to which the herd grew unsettled and launched an attack at the crowd.
