A team of officials in Raiwala, Uttarakhand, managed to rescue 25 locals lefts stranded by flash floods that swept through the area on October 19.

Footage shows the rescue team using rafts to reach the locals trapped on a small patch of land surrounded by the swollen Ganga river.

The rescue team eventually saved the stranded locals.

At least 25 people got stuck on an island when the Ganga river got swollen due to incessant rainfall in the region. Following this, rescuers associated with the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and the Raiwala police arrived at the spot and swung into action, saving the lives of the stranded locals.
