An elephant ambushed a truck amid a road to look for food in eastern India's West Bengal on October 20. The incident took place in the Jamboni village, located in the Jhargram district.

Visuals feature the elephant approaching a truck in the middle of a road surrounded by forest cover on either side. The jumbo tackles the cabin and pushes its trunk against the windshield, breaking it. Following this, the pachyderm puts its trunk inside the cabin and looks for edible items.

Elephants in the region are known for straying off their corridors to look for subsistence. They often emerge on the roads and ambush the vehicles passing by, making the locals familiar with such incidents.
