A meteor was spotted soaring over Melbourne, Australia, as the city's residents celebrated exiting a 262-day lockdown period on October 22.

The filmer, Aleisha Clark, was recording cheers that could be heard from across the city when she managed to capture the moment a meteor flew overhead.

Clark told Newsflare: "In an amazing show of support from the universe, a meteor shot across the city skyline at midnight."
