A 12-year-old boy was taken to hospital after a pen had pierced his skull.

The child was taken to a hospital in Motihari, Bihar, where he would receive surgery on his injury.

Arshad Kamal, a surgeon at Sadar Hospital, managed to safely remove the pen from the 12-year-old's head.

The injury was sustained after the kid got into a fight with his brother.

The doctor of Sadar Hospital first referred the case to a higher center, but due to the promptness of the hospital superintendent and the skill of the surgeon, Arshad Kamal, the pen stuck in the face could be safely removed, following which the family rejoiced.
