Hundreds of police cars in Channahon, Illinois, made a 7-year-old boy's dream come true after he was diagnosed with brain cancer.

Breckin's Make-A-Wish dream was that he wanted to sit in a police car and hundreds of cops turned out to fulfil his wish.

The boy's neighbour used their drone to film the parade on October 20 as the vehicles drove around the neighbourhood with their emergency lights on.

They told Newsflare: "My neighbour has brain cancer and he is expected to have two weeks left. I was told about it and wanted to record it on my drone for them.

"It was an overwhelmingly amazing turnout, originally it was expected maybe five to 10 vehicles and ended up being a little over 100 vehicles showed up from neighbouring towns!

"Breckin has always dreamed of being a police officer so ha going out with the police officers and becoming an honorary officer has been a dream come true for him!"

"The official diagnosis is glioblastoma which is an aggressive cancer that starts in the brain or spinal cord. Breckin was 6 years old when he was diagnosed and just turned 7 on September 11, 2021.

"Breckin has shown how there is still good in this world and no matter what you're going through a positive attitude and the support of others is going to make you much stronger."
