This is the dramatic moment rescuers in Vietnam came to the aid of seven men who were trapped in their ship by fast-flowing floodwaters.

Dramatic footage captured on a river in Quang Tri today (October 26) showed the vessel stranded on a large weir with torrents of water raging all around.

The ship had been swept away by the swollen river and sustained severe damage to the motor.

Rescuers used small boats to approach the stricken vessel and then brought the crew ashore.

According to rescuers, they received reports of seven men trapped on a boat in the river due to floodwaters.
The men were moving on the river when suddenly they were swept away by the floodwater. Their boat had engine damage and was unable to move. The boat drifted and got stuck in dangerous floodwaters. Seven men tried to hold onto the boat. However, one man fell into the river and was swept away by floodwaters.
After receiving the news, the rescue force quickly rushed to the scene to rescue the men. They used small boats to approach the ship and then tied ropes to the ship to prevent it from drifting. The men on board will be brought to shore by lifeguards via ropes and small boats.
After more than an hour, the rescue force successfully rescued 7 men on the boat. They are continuing to search for the missing man left by the floodwaters.
Those who were rescued said, They were very scared when floodwater swept away the boat. They could only pray for the boat to cross the floodwaters. They are very grateful to the rescue force who quickly saved them.
